We have had a
Friends of the Farmland Museum
for many years providing an opportunity to meet like minded people, of all ages and from all walks of life, while supporting the work of the Museum.
They have helped to fund projects and displays at the Museum, as well as sustaining the on-going restoration of artefacts. In total £30,000 has been raised for the museum.
Sadly membership has dropped in the last five or so years and it has been a struggle to find people willing to be on the committee. So it is with regret and sadness that the Friends of the Farmland Museum have decided to close at the end of 2016.
The trustees and staff, past and present, thank the Friends for their support over the years. It is hoped that in the future there will be people interested in relaunching the Friends.
