The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey is an ideal place to bring your group – there is a lot to see that will appeal to all ages and interests.
We have great facilities that groups look for when booking a visit:
- We have parking for cars, mini buses and coaches.
- Picnic tables
- Gift shop & book shop
- A cottage garden
Groups may choose to explore the site by themselves or choose to have –
- have a guided tour of the Abbey and/or Museum
- have an illustrated talk about the site
- have a handling session of some of our artefacts
Our guided tours last 1 hour (we can customise and provide a shorter one if you prefer) allow a further 30 minutes if you wish to include the whole site.
Refreshments must be pre-booked – choose from a variety of options including a hot drink and biscuits or afternoon tea. A buffet lunch is available on limited days – please ask about availability when booking. You are welcome to bring a picnic .
Evening visits include a guided tour and the choice of refreshments is limited to hot drinks with or without a selection of cakes. You are welcome to bring a picnic – the site is a lovely place for groups to have a summer evening’s picnic.
We are very sorry but due to having a small team of part-time staff we are unable during 2017/2018 to offer talks and object handling sessions to groups in their local communities.
Instead, as the Farmland Musuem and Denny Abbey is set in a stunning rural location we’d like to encourage groups to come to the Farmland Museum for a talk or tour of the site.
Topics for talks include the ” The Abbey”, “History of the Museum and Abbey”, “Rural Life” and “Curiosities of the Collection”.
Please email the Museum Manager email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
