The Farmland Museum is seeking 2 people to be our Visitor Services and Museum Assistants for 2018 to cover the following days from 28 March – 2 November 2018:
Tuesday – Thursday (+Bank Holiday Mondays) – Minimum 21 hrs 45 mins per week
Friday – Sunday (+ Bank Holiday Mondays) – Minimum 22 hrs 30 mins per week
We’d be very happy to hear from anyone interested in working a different combination of days (eg: Tuesday – Friday and Saturday/Sunday combinations)
Join the museum team at an exciting time of change and planning for the future. The Visitor Services and Museum Assistants act as the Farmland Museum’s key front-line team providing a welcoming, friendly and safe environment with an approachable, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that callers and visitors to the Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey site are provided with a high quality, visitor focused customer service, to ensure that their experience is enjoyable whilst maximising income generation activities. The job involves ensuring the safety of visitors, the buildings and the Museum’s collections;
The role gives the post holders an opportunity to be at the heart of running the museum, marketing, helping plan events and activities; as well as helping with the collection management of the museum’s collection.
