What type of information we have

We will record your name, email address, telephone number and postcode if you input these to our website.

How we get the information and why we do we have it

We only hold information supplied directly by you when interacting with our website, making a booking or visiting our museum.

When you input your personal details into our website to make a booking we will record your name, email address, postcode and telephone number.

When you submit a comment, upload content or to ask to be kept up to date with our news we will record your name and email address.

What we do with the information

We record your name and email address if you submit content to our website to enable our website editors to contact you regarding your contribution if that is appropriate. We may publish your name alongside your contribution but we will never publish or share your email address.

If you complete the submission form to ask that you are kept up to date with our news, we will store your name and email address on a mailing list. This mailing list will only be used to contact you to share our news and events; fundraising appeals and other items we deem to be of legitimate interest.

We collect anonymous postcode data from all of our visitors to analyse the areas from which our visitors are travelling. This is stored separately from any other identifying data.

Following an online booking, we may contact you by email to ask you to complete a visitor survey to support our continued journey to develop our museum for future visitors.

We will never share your data with any third party. The exception to this is data collected through our online booking system which may be shared with the NHS Test and Trace scheme, should the need arise. NHS Test and Trace will ask for these records only where it is necessary, either because someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 has listed our premises as a place they visited recently, or because our premises have been identified as the location of a potential local outbreak of COVID-19.

We will never sell your data.

How we store your information

Any contributions to our website will be stored indefinitely along with your name and email address for as long as your contribution is used publicly. Upon removal from the public domain we will delete your email address but retain your name, indefinitely, alongside your contribution for our historical archive on our computer filing system.

Your data submitted for the purpose of keeping you up to date with our news and activities will be kept electronically indefinitely until you request deletion.

Information collected while making an online booking will be kept electronically for 24 months during which time we may contact you, unless you have requested otherwise, regarding your visit.

In line with government guidance all data collected for the purposes of NHS Test and Trace will be kept for 21 days. This reflects the incubation period for COVID-19 (which can be up to 14 days) and an additional 7 days to allow time for testing and tracing. After 21 days, this information will be securely disposed of or deleted.

All information will be stored on password protected computers in our private offices that can only be accessed by authorised staff and volunteers.

Your data protection rights

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact us via this form or write to us at admin@dennyfarmlandmuseum.org.uk.

You are entitled to request that we permanently delete all of your personal information held on our systems.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
