COVID-19 Update

Farmland Museum closed until further notice

In light of current government advice regarding Covid-19, we have taken the difficult decision not to open The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey as planned on 1st April. All museum staff will be furloughed from 10th April until further notice. Museum Trustees are available to deal with any urgent matters. Please email Steve Archer, Chair of Trustees, on should you need to contact someone at the museum.

Our events planned for Easter Monday 13th April, Sunday 3rd May and 24/25 May have now been cancelled.

Our site is not a public open space and the museum grounds are closed to all visitors during the Covid-19 isolation period. Our surveillance has observed people driving to the site to undertake their daily exercise. This is in clear breach of the Government isolation guidelines. Furthermore, such actions may contaminate the site and put our team at risk when conducting essential maintenance.

We hope to be open again to our visitors before the end of the summer. Like all independent museums, we rely on our visitors for vital income to survive. The current situation means an uncertain future for The Farmland Museum. Please consider making a donation to the museum here
