CANCELLED: May Day Maypole and Morris Dancing

In light of current government advice regarding Covid-19, whereby non-essential contact is to be restricted, we have taken the difficult decision not to open our site as planned on 1st April.

We have made this decision in the best interests of our volunteers and staff, many of whom fall into a high risk category.

This means our May Day event on 3rd May will no longer go ahead.

———————————

On Sunday 3rd May, we will be joined once again by the fantastic Ely and Littleport Riot Morris Dancers to celebrate May Day in traditional Fenland style. Our maypole will also be out and we’ll be looking for participants of all ages to have a go at dancing!

Explore the museum and Abbey as you solve our family trail, make something to take home at our craft session in the Stone Barn, or simply relax in the grounds with tea and cake.

The Docky Box tea room will be open, serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Standard admission prices apply, annual passes are valid and will be issued. Free entry for English Heritage Members and under-5s.
